To see a tiger in the wild is a waking dream.  Your pulse quickens and suddenly you feel more alive.  We want this dream to last, yet between poaching and habitat destruction, its chances are slim.  We need more places in the human environment where great cats can thrive until all of mankind is ready to share the world fairly with wildlife.  We need large, well-maintained captive populations that are genetically diverse, physically strong, mentally acute and emotionally fit.  We see the recent attacks on private ownership as threats to the species themselves.

Current "Species Survival Plans" do little more than impress zoo visitors.  They may actually do more harm than good because they lull the government and public into dangerous complacency.  Since safety and humane needs are protected by existing laws, blanket bans can only do more harm than good.    At Tiger Touch, we are working to put the needs of the public and wild and captive animals into healthy perspective.  Our goal is to put aside all preconceived notions and move forward with research, compassion and respect into a brighter future for all species everywhere.
