Male Serval - Leptailurus serval
Born 10/12/95, Died 6/30/07.  Weight 40 lbs (18.1 kg)

Streaker has always been an enigma - born of ancient desert ancestors and a penchant for solitary life in the wild. As a companion cat to his people, however, he quickly adapted to the luxuries of good food, a warm bed and the pleasures of loving snuggles with his people and Peggy Sue, the house Lynx.

Despite the complications and suffering of poor genetics related to inbreeding, Streaker made housekeeping and organization his passion - things had to be just right for everyone in his family. Above all, he gave an outpouring of unconditional love to those he cherished - quite a simple life, really, when one thinks about it.

With his passing he has left a remarkable legacy to those who knew him well. We will never forget the lesson he brought across the misty gap of species; that love is universal, that love is life itself and makes all things possible, even the acceptance of death and the continuation of spirit.

We grieve for Streaker's tender touch, though not in vain. His legacy remains as large as life.
